Our Two-Hour Curtain under test
Our fire curtains provide the benefits of an off the shelf lightweight
design which eliminates the problems of steel shutters.
The Fire curtain requires less preparation time and no special
steelwork structure to install. The weighted bar sags down the curtain
and is inserted to test for curtains up to 8m high.
Our Time Shield™ curtains combined with our Twin Skin™ technology offers unlimited width curtains with a drop of up to 10 meters*. This newely K&D
developed technology eliminates the dangers posed by heavy steel
shutters which could drop and cause serious injuries or even
fatalities.
Our new fire and smoke curtain
technologies are especially suited to clean hygienic environments such
as kitchens, hospitals and shopping centres, or is equally at home over
in windows and reception areas.
All our curtains are tested to BS EN 1634-1: Warrington FRC, UK.
Servery or hatchway fire curtains Made to your drawings specifications
to within 5mm of your specifications. Delivery takes 2 to 5 working
days. Slim, lightweight, easy to install and made to measure sizes.
Two-hour fire resistance to BS EN 1634-1: Warrington FRC, UK. Sealed to prevent the passage of fire or smoke. Power operation is 24V with battery back-up.

Options Available
Theres a choice of alarm actuations and fire/smoke sensors, powder
coating in any standard RAL colour and gravity fail-safe motor options.
Automatic smoke curtains are not just an adjunct to smoke ventilation
systems. They are an essential safety component, designed to protect
life and help save lives, by containing and stopping the spread of
lethal, superheated, noxious gases.
Fail Safe Option
Our battery back up smoke and fire curtains are designed to close down
the openings when activated by a fire signal. These are also the option
of special units which are designed to be gravity fail safe, even
without any power in the building, the back-up batteries will not only
allow the curtains to fall once the required signal has been received
but also in a total power failure.
